Nevada SOR - UPDATE
A number of former sex offenders are now filing suit against Nevada for implementing a skewed Tier system based on the broad-reaching Adam Walsh Act which passed without proper review last year. Here is a scan of the Reno Gazette Journal article .
This article only profiles one of the offenders who committed rape, but they neglected to state that most sex offenders have never committed rape, like in a case of public urination. Apparently this biased newspaper is only interested in finding the worst case scenario to sneak in their opposition to reforming corrupt sex offender laws and fooling the reader into believing all former offenders are rapists. WRONG! Again, most sex offenders have never raped before and some are even young children who played doctor. Whenever you read these types of articles, always consider the source. The Reno Gazette Journal is largely a right-wing newspaper who enjoy spreading hysteria to gain more subscribers, just like a number of other “news” papers do.
Anyway, I wish these former offenders much success in their lawsuit. Just imagine a person being listed as “Tier 3″ for mooning someone decades ago. Yes folks, the laws are that bad.
