This is a recent Dear Abby letter regarding an elderly neighbor taking one picture of a mother’s child and niece in their costumes on Halloween night :
DEAR ABBY: Please help me. I wasn’t sure how to handle an uncomfortable situation last Halloween, and your answer will help me be better prepared this year.
I took my 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old niece trick-or-treating. We only walk up walkways that are well-lit. As we approached one house, an older gentleman was waiting at the open door, handing out candy to the kids.
Before I could process what was happening, he whipped out (whipped out?) a camera and took a picture of my daughter and niece (with you standing right behind them). I was not comfortable with it at all. But what could I have possibly done or said without being rude? Our neighborhood is a safe area, but in this day and age you can trust no one.

DEAR ESCORT: While I admire your vigilance as a parent, if the children were wearing cute costumes, I don’t think it was inappropriate for the gentleman to want to take their picture. Of course, it would have been better had this neighbor first asked permission. But since he didn’t, and it made you uncomfortable, avoid his house this year and in the future.
Now this is paranoia. What is wrong with someone taking a picture or two of parents with their children on a well lit and festive night? If this elderly gentleman had anything to hide, he wouldn’t be standing outside his own door with the porch light on where everyone can see him, that’s a sign of trust not deviation. He is probably just being nostalgic for the holiday.This woman should know that over 90% of sexual abuse is not committed by a stranger. It is often a well known family member or friend according to the Department Of Justice. “Stranger danger” is largely a myth. It is shocking to know how many people are uneducated about this subject and it’s time to change that. Keep in mind that there has not been one documented case where a registered sex offender has sexually abused a trick-or-treater. With so many on the registry being low-risk people, it’s no surprise. If a real predator wanted to abduct a child, why would he choose a night when traffic, lights, parents, neighbors and police are prevalent? It makes no sense. The corporate news media and vote-hunting politicians have employed these scare tactics to fatten their wallets, not to make your kids safer.Factually, traffic is more of a threat to your child’s safety than sex offenders are. Think about how easy it would be for your child to dart into a busy street while you talk with a neighbor only to learn your daughter was ran over by an intoxicated driver or careless teenager kissing his girlfriend behind the wheel. It is easy for a tragedy like this to occur, so be sure to keep an eagle eye on where your kids wander this Halloween night (always worked when I took my own daughter out trick-or-treating). But also keep in mind that plenty of former sex offenders have families too and are just as concerned about their safety. So use logic when trying to keep your kids safe on Halloween and look beyond media or political hype if you want legitimate data [this link is a great place to start].Have a joyful and safe Halloween!

Some cult groups are trying to defame people in our civil rights circle by fraudulently associating our screennames with a bizarre group called “Boy Chat”. Personally, I have never even heard of this group / website until a YouTube cyber-stalker brought it up in his ignorant message. Apparently, they are some sort of child exploitation bunch. However, I have heard by some that groups like Boy Chat were created by vigilante cultists for the sole purpose of defaming those who support reforming the registry.
Also, there is word that these cultists snap screenshots of chat conversations and doctor up the image to make it appear someone they despise was involved in an inappropriate chat. This or, the cultist logged in with someone else’s screenname and actually had the conversation his or her self. This deception is very easy to accomplish given the proper software.
Let me state flat out that none of us who support civil rights are in no way associated with groups like Boy Chat or any other sick group. This is simply another scam by cultists who may have created these groups to begin with. We support the reform of bad sex offender laws that unjustly punish men, women, and children who do not belong on public registries, especially since many are non-violent and have families of their own to provide for. We strongly support the prevention of sexual abuse, something these misguided laws do not.
So again, just use common logic when you hear about such ludicrous statements from people who prefer to hide their true identities and who may themselves be responsible for what garbage they try to throw at civil rights activists. It’s quite concerning when you think about it.

Greetings to all Truthseekers!
Currently the state of Nevada has placed a freeze on Bills SB471 and AB579. These Bills are under Constitutional review.
If enacted this legislation would re-categorize thousands of low-risk sex offenders at higher Tier levels based on flawed judgment. They would also have their names, home addresses, work addresses, license plates, and photos listed on the Internet, placing these former offenders and their families in danger of violence from vigilante cults like Absolute Zero United.
These Bills affect all offenders, both the violent and non-violent. If enacted, you will see teenagers who had consensual sex with other teenagers listed next to violent rapists. It is broad-reaching and does nothing to keep children safe, especially since many former offenders have children of their own and there are even some children listed on sex offender registries.
Factually, less than 7% of all sex offenders re-offend and over 90% of sexual abuse will be committed by someone already known to the victim according to the Department Of Justice. Thus, Bills like these are focused in the wrong direction for stopping sexual abuse.

This is a huge victory for human rights and we hope this decision motivates other states to re-examine draconian sex offender laws and to use common sense instead of hysteria before they decide to enact them.

It has come to my attention that YouTube members like AZUStitches77 and AntiPaedo have been trying to defame our cause by posting fraudulent statements in their videos/blogs about former sex offenders.
I have challenged AZUStitches77’s claim that all sex offenders are rapists or one day will be rapists by asking her to provide factual data to support these absurd statements. To date, AZUStitches77 has not provided any factual data. Why? Because she is a fraud bent on destroying lives. Oh wow, I must have struck a nerve because Absolute Zero United found it necessary to post a photo and semi-accurate data about me (they are even giving out the address of where my parents live, nice). It just proves even more how dangerous this cult is by using my photo to invite a violent attack against me and my family. What a smear campaign! I’ll just give AZU fair warning to remove this defaming post right away because neglecting to do so will be quite a mistake with Google and law enforcement. Once again, your demented cult has broken the law.

So AZU denies there are teenagers on registries for having consensual sex with other teenagers
. Well just have a look at RickysLife sometime or read about Jean Ponzanelli who is serving time for consensual teen sex. Not to mention Petra Luna (Barbara Ochoa) admitted this fact, saying that registering teenagers for such activity is a “necessary evil “. There are many “Romeo” teens on sex offender registries and it’s unjust. AZU also claims there is no difference between a person who views a handful of dirty pictures online and a person who violently rapes a child. Hmmm, well that would mean they should feel the same way about Mark Lunsford who viewed such images on his home PC (see post below). Yet, I have never heard them call Mark a “pedophile” or even say he should be punished for this activity. Hmm, I guess AZU believes high-profile people should not serve any time for sexual offenses. That’s interesting.
Again, consider who the real dangerous people in society are. After seeing how they are trying to make my digital photo into an online target board and how they promote violence against teenagers like Ricky, you can decide for yourself who the real creeps are in the world.

Recently, KCBD-TV in Lubbock, Texas did a news story on local employment of sex offenders. Apparently these were law-abiding and productive individuals, but the “news” crew set out to destroy the lives these people were trying to put back together via listing their names, photos, and addresses of where they work, promoting vigilantism and resulting in the termination of at least two workers.
Not only does this action by channel 11 impact the lives of former offenders, but also their families (including children). This station neglected to state the facts about sex offenders, like that only a small percentage re-offend and that most are low-risk according to the Department Of Justice. However, KCBD profiled only a few out of the 90+ offenders they looked up, stating that the offenses of these selected few involved “rape”. According to new definitions, a rape can be regarded as anything between two teenagers having consensual sex to someone forcing sex on a victim at gunpoint! I think KCBD’s description of their crimes are likely inflated based on this finding, plus what about the others, are they all rapists? Likely not because factually, the majority of registered sex offenders have never committed rape.

Truthfully, this is nothing more than a witch hunt that was crafted to boost ratings using the dangerous tool of hysteria. Just imagine what the families of these former offenders are going through now. Can you say : starving kids?

Let it be well known that neither I, nor any of us in organizations who oppose sweeping sex offender laws, in any way condone rape, especially the rape of children.
Unfortunately, current SO laws do nothing to prevent sexual abuse. These laws are simply based on feel-good decisions that claim to “protect our kids” when in fact, many children are victimized by them. Draconian legislation prevents sexual abuse from being reported since many potential abusers and even their victims fear the backlash or public humiliation involved. Not to mention that over 90% of these crimes are committed by people who are not on the Registry. Also, the minority of sex offenders who are truly dangerous are encouraged to go underground, leaving police with no clue as to where they are. So our attention is obviously focused in the wrong direction if we truly want to fight sexual abuse.
We who are on the side of the Constitution fully support legislation that not only preserves the civil rights of law-abiding offenders and their families, but also prevents sexual abuse with treatment for potential abusers and which includes rehabilitation along with punishment for serious offenders. These steps will dramatically help reduce sexual abuse as many experts will testify .
If these misleading sex offender laws continue to be implemented, rape and molestation crimes will continue and perhaps even grow. According to statistics, kids are less safe now than they were 20 years ago.
You may hear in the media that rape crimes have dropped, but remember that it’s impossible to know how often rape occurs since most rape crimes go unreported. Yet, legislators are hell-bent on over punishing people who urinate in public or look at a few dirty pictures on the Net while giving a thumbs up to real abusers who are not on any Registry and encouraging truly high-risk offenders to drop off the radar screen. Do you and your family members really feel safe knowing these facts?
We are dedicated to changing sex offender laws so that everyone will be safer, not just career politicians. So my statement here should clarify what our organizations stand up for - the preservation of the Constitution and prevention of sexual abuse.

I’m sure by now, most of you have come across these online criminal search websites where you can locate “dangerous” sex offenders living in your area and “protect your kids” from these monsters.
To repeat - 90% of sexual abuse will be committed by someone who is not on the Registry and by someone you already know. Obviously, the re-offense rate is very low and most sex offenders have not raped anyone to begin with. These companies are just out to make money by exploiting your fears and scrubbing the facts. No, these seek-and-destroy services are not free and you may be violating state laws by pulling up data that normally requires your (digital) signature.
The information you collect from these websites will be of little or no use to anyone looking to protect their children. People who ran over kids while driving drunk or who committed manslaughter or sold drugs at the school yard are not listed on any Registry and could be living in your neighborhood right next door to a sex offender whose only crime was mooning someone years ago. However, the mooner is the only offender you’d be informed about out of the four. Feel safer now? I didn’t think so.
Granted, there are a few sex offenders you should genuinely fear. These type of offenders are a small minority of all registered (Tier levels are not a true indicator of risk since the basis for tier level assessment is often manipulated by crooked politicians). Chances are you already know about high-risk offenders through law enforcement notification policies. But again, 90%+ of new sexual abuse will be committed by someone who is not on the Registry! So these services are really a waste of your time and money. Preventive treatment is the best weapon against sexual abuse, not these ex-post-facto revenge trips.
Here is the URL to one of these witch-finder services . Tell them what you think about their fear-mongering scam and maybe you will help outlaw these websites that promote misguided vigilantism. I thank you in advance.
Also, a friend of mine informed me about this cheesy website that promises to do a full scale witch hunt on all criminals (not just SO’s), even those who’ve never been arrested! Here is the link - www.criminalsearches.com . So if you’ve ever had a run-in with the law, even decades ago, your name and other data may be publicly listed here. E-mail the owner and voice your opposition to this defamatory service. It should be illegal!

Probably the main deception politicians spew out that boils my blood is when they claim sex offenders who move to more “lenient” states are “hiding out” in them so they’ll have enough time to plan out their next Freddy Krueger attack. Get real! The fact is most former offenders move to escape oppression and not to harm anyone!
The broad-reaching Adam Walsh Act and accompanying Senate Bills passed in certain states make it impossible for a sex offender to get on with his/her life. No work, no home, no passing by a park/school/arcade, and having their names black-listed on a web registry on top of it would encourage anyone to move, not only to protect themselves but to protect their families.
These corrupt politicians and journalists often point out the worst-case-scenario to “prove” their point. However, those cases where a violent predator moves to another state for the sole purpose of raping someone is very rare. The majority of RSO’s just want their lives restored, without having to live in fear that some weirdo from the Perverted Justic cult will set their homes on fire!
Idiots like Dina Titus (D-Nevada) who promote these draconian sex offender laws are nothing but career-minded demagogues who prey on your fears to promote these unfounded ideas…and to promote their jobs.
So the next time you hear a politician blabber on about creating even more tough sex offender laws to prevent “dangerous” people from hiding out in your state, consider the fact most RSO’s have never committed rape and statistically are a lot more safe than drug abusers living in your community. Plus, consider how these counter-productive laws not only impact the offenders but also their families.
Escaping oppression is not “hiding out”, especially when the former offender is doing it legally. There is a reason why the Adam Walsh Act has been frozen in Nevada, it is unconstitutional.
I sincerely hope that politicians like Orrin Hatch will be exposed for their fraudulent sex offender gibberish so the public will finally know the truth. These politicians care little or nothing about your families’ well being, only about votes.
Just remember what Jews in WWII Germany went through with their government. If one of them left Germany to gain back his freedom, would he be “hiding out”, or would he be escaping oppression? Sleep on that one people.
